Part "G" of the device shown in the illustration is used __________. See illustration MO-0012.
• Identify what part G is connected to at the base of the purifier bowl assembly. • Think about how the operating water and sliding bowl bottom work together during opening and reseating of the bowl. • Consider the difference between discharging sludge, moving the operating slide, and removing trapped water from the operating chamber.
• Trace the flow path: if water or operating fluid enters under the bowl, where would it need to be relieved or drained so the slide can move freely? • Ask yourself which component in a self-discharging purifier would be responsible for actually pushing the operating slide versus simply allowing it to move. • Look at where sludge leaves the machine—does part G appear to connect to that path, or to a drain/vent at the very bottom?
• Verify whether G is located in the sludge outlet, the operating water chamber, or an external drain at the bottom of the frame. • Confirm if the function described involves moving the slide or allowing it to move by getting rid of an obstruction (such as trapped water). • Make sure you distinguish between a device that balances the bowl during rotation and one that controls the hydraulic water around the operating slide.
