Safety valves are to be set at 110% of the highest setting of the safety valves on the drum.

Visible and audible alarms indicating excessive superheat shall be provided.

All mountings, fittings, valves, or other superheater attachments must be of malleable cast iron.

A device, actuated by inlet static pressure and designed to function by the bursting of a pressure retaining disk, must be fitted at the outlet of the superheater.
