Trip the off-going generator off-line by opening its circuit breaker.

Shut down the prime mover driving the off-going generator.

Decrease the governor setting on the 'off going' generator while simultaneously increasing the governor setting on the generator to remain on line.

Decrease the cycles of the generator staying on the line while simultaneously increasing the cycles of the 'off going' generator.
