What is the difference between an open cycle and a closed cycle gas turbine engine?
An open cycle discards the working fluid and a closed cycle retains the working fluid.
A closed cycle heats the working fluid from an internal source and an open cycle uses an external source for heating the working fluid.
There is no difference because both use the same working fluid.
An open cycle retains the working fluid and a closed cycle discards the working fluid.
