🔍 Key Concepts

• 46 CFR requirements for Mobile Offshore Drilling Units (MODUs) • What specific items are required to be entered in the official logbook (drills, tests, casualties, etc.) • Difference between a complete record of everything vs. a required minimum list of entries

💭 Think About

• Ask yourself: Does the regulation require logging ALL possible events, or only certain types of safety-related actions and incidents? • Which choice sounds like a realistic, enforceable requirement in an official logbook on a MODU? • Compare the options: which one clearly matches a specific, named item that appears in logbook requirements in 46 CFR for drills and tests?

✅ Before You Answer

• Check 46 CFR Part 109 (or current MODU operating regulations) for the section on logbooks/records. • Verify whether fire drills and other emergency drills are explicitly required to be recorded with date and time. • Confirm that the requirement is not limited only to casualties underway and does not expand to literally every single event on board.
