Which way (in true degrees) do you have to draw a line from the DR position to reach that fix? • Measure the distance between the DR and the fix and convert it to knots over the 50‑minute interval. How does 50 minutes relate to one hour when you compute drift?

• Be sure your bearings are treated as TRUE bearings from the ship to the lights, then converted to lines of position correctly on the chart • Confirm the time interval from 0730 to 0820 (in hours) before you divide distance by time for drift • Double‑check that your final set direction is the course line FROM DR to fix, expressed as a true bearing (0°–359°T)
